Qualified and interested individuals are being sought for the Board of Directors election slated for the TIOA annual membership meeting to be held on Saturday October 18, 2008.

This fall, three Board seats will be up for election to three-year terms. The three board seats of incumbents Jan Hacker, Todd Roth and Susan Wiik will be up for election.

In an effort to standardize board candidate applications, persons interested in running for the available positions should contact the TIOA Attention: Marge Mergen at PO Box 609, Cable, WI 54821 or by email to rcimarge@cheqnet.net to request a Board Candidate Application Form.

Completed candidate applications must be received by the TIOA no later than August 1, 2008. The late summer/early fall newsletter will include the names and resumes of those who are seeking the available TIOA Board positions.

Members who cannot attend the annual meeting will have the opportunity to vote via mail by proxy ballot, which will be included in the late summer/early fall newsletter.

Currently, the TIOA Board consists of seven members whose terms run for three years each. Terms are staggered so only a portion of the board positions are up for election each year. At this time, the TIOA board meets seven times a year at the Telemark Resort.
